Another Week, Another Question About "Heroes"

So I just wanted to take a minute and ask my latest question about "Heroes."

Is Mr. Linderman the real bad guy? Does H.R.G. (Horn-Rimmed Glasses) work for him?

Think about it. He is connected to almost all of the heroes now in one way or the other. He gave money to Nathan. He blackmailed Nikki and D.L. Hiro and Ando got in trouble at his casino. Now, he has Isaac's painting that will help Peter save the world.

And speaking of which, why did Nathan lie to Peter about being able to get the painting back? Sorry that made two questions.
