"Price": The Signoff Will Live On

Monday, Bob Barker got some good news from his replacement, Drew Carey…

Carey told Barker that he will continue to use Barker’s signature signoff, “Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered.”

Barker said he was going to ask him to continue it, but Carey volunteered. Barker said he “thanked him profusely.”

Dr. Phil McGraw also plans to use the signoff. Barker said it would be great if “all the TV hosts would do it.”

CBS President Nina Tassler has told Barker that few changes will be made to the “Price” set or format. Tassler is talking to Barker about hosting some specials with “Price” clips. Barker is also in negotiations to write a book.

As Barker said, “I’m having a hard time convincing myself that I’m retired.”
