Pick of the Week: A Promising Newcomer Says Goodbye Until Spring

It’s not unusual for shows to take a little break around this time to make room for the holidays. “24” used to do it all the time.

With a serialized show, it’s a bit of a risk because the show can lose momentum and people might forget when it returns. That’s why you keep it as short of a hiatus as possible.

So in my opinion, taking one of the highest rated new shows off the air until March is a little nuts. But we are talking about ABC here.

Fans had better hope for one heck of a cliffhanger…

My Pick of the Week is the fall finale of “V.”

Yes, that’s right, “V” fans. This week’s episode is the last new one until March and there is a major cliffhanger planned as Chad starts to come to terms with some of the things he learns at a visitors healing center. Plus, Erica and her newfound allies continue to try to get information on what the visitors are actually up to.

I think “V” has a lot of promise so I hope that we do get a big cliffhanger that will make people come back in March. Otherwise ABC will have killed another one…

“V” airs Tuesday, November 24th at 8 p.m. on ABC…
